Eagles host ‘Lombardo Lollapalozza’ fundraiser in Gilberts

Submitted by Fraternal Order of Eagles Club 1047

The Fraternal Order of Eagles Club 1047 will host a “Lombardo Lollapalozza” starting at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 10, at the club house, 325 Raymond St., off Tyrrell Road in Gilberts.

Family and friends are united to raise money for Tony Lombardo as he battles glioblastoma brain cancer. He was diagnosed just before Christmas. He has undergone surgery and continues daily chemotherapy and radiation at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago. Tony and his wife, Debbie, have two children, Joey, who attends Hampshire Middle School and Gianna who attends Gilberts Elementary School.

Lombardo is one of the founding Scout leaders of Gilberts Boy Scout Pack 1047. He also has devoted much of his time tirelessly to the Fraternal Order of Eagles Club 1047 in fundraising events, most recently as the chairman of the “Terror Trail” Halloween fundraiser. The fundraiser will show thanks and give support to Lombardo and his family as they face this medical crisis.

The event will include raffle tickets all day. A taco bar will be served from 2 to 6 p.m., followed by live music at 7 p.m. Lightening bingo will start at 4 p.m.

The cost is $15 a person at the door.

Donations can be made at giveforward.com/tonylombardo. For details, call (847) 695-7919.
