'Make a Difference' with food drive for Hanover Twp. pantry Saturday
Many residents of Hanover Township have faced the question of where their next meal is coming from. They depend on the township food pantry for assistance.
As part of the "Make A Difference Day" on Saturday, Oct. 27, join in the annual drive to benefit the Hanover Township Food Pantry held by the residents of Fawn Lane in Elgin. Jane Parker is again organizing this collection at 107 Fawn Lane at 9 a.m.
Tom Kuttenberg and Brian McGuire, township representatives, will be there to meet and greet the residents as well as answer any questions concerning the township (tax questions, information on the Cook County Forest Preserve property, as well as the food pantry, etc.). Brian McGuire will bring a van to deliver the donations to the Hanover Township Food Pantry.
Donations may include canned foods, paper goods, toiletries, as well as clean/unused winter coats, gloves, scarves, etc.
