Express disapproval of animal shows

Many enlightened cities in the U.S. and Europe do not permit traveling shows that have animal acts. It has been well-documented that the constant enclosure in cages, very restricted movement and the training methods used are injurious and very inhumane. The oversight laws are completely inadequate and poorly enforced. Our children should not still be convinced that living creatures are for their amusement. Chicago is a great and beautiful city, and should not allow this cruel and tawdry display. Thinking people need to let City Hall know of their disapproval.
