Arlington Camera Club Coat Drive

In a continuing effort to reach out to the community, Arlington Camera Club has been collecting winter coats, hats, gloves, scarves and boots. All of the children's winter wear has been donated to CEDA Northwest and has been put directly in the hands of those in need. Many of the children had only light summer jackets or sweatshirts to wear in this freezing weather. The mission of CEDA Northwest is to work in partnership with communities to empower families and individuals to achieve self-sufficiency and improve their quality of life. Arlington Camera Club is proud to be a part in sharing warmth with the children.

Adult winter wear was delivered to WINGS in Palatine for distribution to their clients and to help stock their resale shop. WINGS serves homeless and abused women and children by offering integrated services that meet their needs for shelter, education, guidance and support.

Arlington Camera Club will continue to collect winter clothing. Clothing or nonperishable food can be dropped off at any meeting. Meetings are held on the first and third Wednesdays of the month at Christian Church of Arlington Heights, 333 W. Thomas. Meetings start at 7:15. Guests are always welcome.
