Palatine Township launches discount prescription drug program

Palatine Township ;http://www.palatinetownship.com/[URL]is the latest township to launch a new prescription drug discount program.

The Coast2Coast Rx card will allow all residents, regardless of income, age or health status, to participate in a program offering reduced costs at pharmacy chains and most independent pharmacies, and also discounts on lab and imaging tests.

Officials say cardholders nationwide have saved an average more than 50 percent this year. The free card will be available at most participating pharmacies, governmental offices, libraries, the Palatine Senior Citizens Council, the Palatine Opportunity Center and the Palatine Township office. Township Supervisor Linda Fleming, trustees and IPPFA Benefits will formally announce the program at 1 p.m. Thursday at the township office, 721 S. Quentin Road, Palatine.[/URL]
