Dickey's Barbecue Pit opens in Orland Park

ORLAND PARK — Brothers Joseph and John Bak will celebrate the grand opening of their Dickey's Barbecue Pit franchise from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday at the restaurant on 15110 S. La Grange Road.

Customers at the grand opening will enjoy $1 big barbecue pulled pork sandwiches and three customers will win free barbecue for one year.

“We are excited to be celebrating with our community,” said John Bak.

John has a bachelor's degree in business administration and Joseph has a bachelor's degree in finance.

“Orland Park is a great area and we are excited to be serving them excellent barbecue,” said Roland Dickey, Jr., president of Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants, Inc.

Dickey's Barbecue Pit opened its first location in Dallas in 1941. Dickey's began franchising in 1994 and has continued to grow across the country. Dickey's currently has over 200 locations in 36 states nationwide.

Dickey's Barbecue offers a quality selection of signature meats, home style sides and tangy barbecue sauce. All meats are slow smoked on site in each restaurant.
