Catholic Order of Foresters fish boil, fry raises funds for charity

The local Catholic Order of Foresters Hampshire Court 729 will hold a fish boil and fish fry from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 23, at St. Charles Borromeo School, 288 E. Jefferson St., Hampshire. It will feature fish, boiled or fried, as well as potatoes, onions, coleslaw, rolls and a drink. Hot dog meals are available. Cost is $10, or $5 for children, age 5 to 10. Kids 5 and younger eat for free. This event will raise funds for the school’s computer program.

Throughout the year, the Catholic Order of Foresters members volunteer and raise money for schools, parish, community and humanitarian needs. Established in 1883, it is a nonprofit fraternal benefit society with nationwide membership. It provides members with life insurance plans, annuities and added-value fraternal benefits.
