U.S. Working on services deal with 15 WTO nations

The U.S. is working with 15 nations in the World Trade Organization on a deal for services industries after the Doha round of trade talks stalled, said Michael Punke, U.S. ambassador to the World Trade Organization.

“We should pursue market opening wherever and however we can,” Punke told reporters today in Washington. “We should not simply allow the whole system to be paralyzed by the fact that some members are not ready to talk right now.”
