Indiana gets $250K grant to promote fair housing

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Civil Rights Commission has been awarded a $250,000 federal grant to promote fair housing.

The commission says it will use will use the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development funds for a series of television and radio public service announcements to enhance awareness of civil rights laws and how they protect consumers and businesses. The commission worked with Ball State and Butler universities and the Indiana Department of Education to produce the spots.

The Civil Rights Commission is a state agency that enforces Indiana civil rights laws and provides public services to ensure equal opportunities for all state residents.
