OLR sets hearing for sexting Wis. DA
MADISON, Wis. — A former Wisconsin prosecutor accused of rampant sexual harassment will get a chance to persuade the state not to suspend his law license.
The Office of Lawyer Regulation has asked the state Supreme Court to suspend Ken Kratz’s law license for six months. The office has scheduled a three-day hearing on the matter beginning June 19 in Appleton.
Kratz resigned from his position as Calumet County district attorney in 2010 after The Associated Press reported he sent a domestic abuse victim racy text messages in hopes of sparking an affair. More women have since come forward accusing Kratz of sexual harassment.
Kratz, now a private attorney in Appleton, has denied any wrongdoing. He says the OLR is out to get him.
