Jefferson Pool closes early for season

Jefferson Pool's main pool, 341 N. Harvard, had to close for the remainder of the pool season on

Thursday, August 18.

The main circulating pump malfunctioned on Wednesday, August 17.

Due to the age of this pump, obtaining parts to rebuild and repair it is a lengthy, time consuming process and could not be completed by Aug. 23, when Jefferson Pool was scheduled to close for the season.

The wading pool at Jefferson, which operates on a separate pump, was able to remain open through

Aug. 19.

The Patron Appreciation Day scheduled for Aug. 20 at Jefferson Pool was moved to Lufkin

Pool, 1000 S. Ardmore.

The management staff for Villa Park Parks and Recreation is truly sorry for any inconvenience this early closing may have caused you.
