Women business owners, managers to meet in Elgin

The Northern Fox Valley Chapter of Women in Management invites area women business owners and managers to enjoy a free networking evening and “get to know us” mixer for women business owners and managers from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, at Elgin State Bank, 1001 S. Randall Road, Elgin.

The event is made possible in partnership with Elgin State Bank, a Wintrust Community Bank, and its president Mark Abate.

Reservations must be made for attendance online at www.wimonline.org no later than 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 14. Space is limited to the first 300 registrants.

“We invite area women to join us this evening,” said chapter President Janet Ellingson. “I have been a member of this organization for 20 years and find it extremely rewarding because of the members' support and positive interaction. We are a warm and welcoming group.”

The Northern Fox Valley Chapter of Women in Management was founded in 1984. It is part of a national organization. Members include professionals in six categories: academic; corporate; entrepreneur; government; licensed, degreed professional; and nonprofit.

This year's chapter president is Elgin attorney Janet Ellingson. Area women managers/business owners are invited to join. There are currently 75 members from across the Fox Valley area. Meetings are held the second Thursday of each month (September though June) at the Elgin Country Club, 2575 Weld Road, Elgin.
