Route 120 crawl must be fixed

Have you seen the new housing project across from Grays Lake on Route 120? I wonder if the folks living there will have cars. And I hope there are plans to widen Route 120 there next to the lake, to make a left turn lane onto Neville. Otherwise traffic just stops.

The worst two intersections, as far as not letting enough traffic through the intersection, are eastbound 120 at 83 and westbound 120 at Hainesville Rd. The crawl during rush hour is maddening.

There needs to be long right turn lanes built to keep traffic moving. The answers I get from elected officials and IDOT are “we are waiting to build the bypass.” Even in 20 years if a bypass gets built, there will still be backups at these bad intersections.

Please, IDOT, for Route 120 commuters, of which there are a lot of us, fix the Grayslake Route 120 crawl.
