A fresh look for Arlington Heights water tower

Crews expect to wrap up work in the coming days on the repainting of the 157-foot water tower that stands at Ridge Avenue and Thomas Street in Arlington Heights. It's the first time the 92-foot-diameter tank and tower have received a fresh coat of paint in about three decades, said Jeff Musinski, the utilities superintendent for Arlington Heights.

Because such a huge undertaking can be disruptive for neighbors, Musinski said he hopes it'll more than another 30 years before the village has to repaint the 1 million-gallon water tower.
