Kohler Co. acquires Brazilian generator company

KOHLER, Wis. — The Kohler Co. has purchased a generator company based in Brazil.

The Wisconsin manufacturing and hospitality company says its acquired Maquigeral, headquartered in Sao Paulo. Kohler says Maquigeral will be part of its power systems group. The Sheboygan Press says the company will be managed by Kohler’s French subsidiary, SDMO.

Kohler CEO Herbert Kohler says Maquigeral represents an “excellent building block” in South America.
