Group hosts talk on women’s health and nutrition in Elgin

The Altrusa International Club of Elgin presents nutritionist Valerie Early at its monthly dinner meeting on Thursday, Feb. 16, at the Evangelical Covenant Church, 1565 Larkin Ave., Elgin. Networking begins at 6 p.m. prior to the dinner and program.
Early will speak on women’s health and nutrition. She is a registered dietitian, licensed dietitian nutritionist, registered pharmacy technician, a certified advanced health and fitness specialist and a Reiki Master. She received her bachelor’s degree in food and nutrition science from the Florida State University. She completed her Medical Nutrition Therapy Internship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. She has been certified by the American Council on Exercise, and served as the director of The Natural Health Center.
Early counsels people on the importance of preventive nutrition, sports nutrition and nutrition and hormonal balancing at her private practice in Schaumburg: Nutrition, Connection, Balance, LLC.
Altrusa International Club of Elgin Inc. is an international service organization comprised of executive and professional women. The Altrusa Club of Elgin sponsors a number of projects in the community through volunteerism and monetary support. This May, the club will hold its 63rd annual Altrusa Woman of the Year Award dinner which honors a woman of the greater Elgin area who is committed to community service.
