League of Women Voters to sponsor candidates forum

The League of Women Voters of Deerfield, Glencoe, Glenview, Highland Park and Lake Forest/Lake Bluff will host public candidate debates for the Illinois House District 58, Illinois Senate District 29, and the 10th Congressional District races.

The debates will take place Sunday, Feb. 26, at the Highland Park Country Club, Highland Park. Only opposed races will have debates.

The debates are co-sponsored by the Union League Club of Chicago and will be taped by Lake Forest T.V. for rebroadcast by the various local community networks.

Below is the schedule for the debates:

Ÿ 1 p.m. — Illinois House District 58 Republican Primary candidates: Mark G. Neerhof and Lauren G. Turelli.

Ÿ 2 p.m. — Illinois Senate District 29 Democratic Primary candidates: Julie Morrison and Milton J. Sumption.

Ÿ 3 p.m. — 10th Congressional District Democratic Primary candidates: Vivek Bavda, Aloys Rutagwibira, Brad Schneider, Llya Sheyman, John Tree.

The public will be able to submit written questions for the candidates at the forum.
