Great Lakes museum free lecture:

Great Lakes Naval Station’s museum will host a lecture on the 99th Pursuit Squadron and the creation of the Tuskegee Airmen at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18. The speaker will be Mark Hanson, curator at Chanute Air Museum in downstate Rantoul. The 99th Pursuit Squadron, the first of the Tuskegee Airmen, was activated at Chanute in March 1941 and, by the end of that year, wound up in Tuskegee, Ala.
