South Elgin parks department sponsors 'Kids Day'
A special event for the entire family is planned by the South Elgin Parks and Recreation Department and Harmony Chiropractic.
Join the sixth annual “Kids Day,” a Health, Safety, and Environmental Awareness Day, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, in the Municipal Annex, 1 W. State St.
The event is free and will provide essential information on health, nutrition, education, finances, crime prevention, child safety, and environmental awareness.
The South Elgin Police Department will be on hand providing bike safety information. Dr. Curt Buss will provide free health screenings and will be distributing vital information on disease prevention and health promotion. The Chicago Investment Advisory Council will provide financial information. The South Elgin Fire Department will be there, as well as more than 30 local vendors.
Adrian Peterson, former running back for the Chicago Bears, will be on-site to sign autographs from 9 to 11 a.m. No photos will be allowed.
