Express scores 6 goals in loss

The Chicago Express scored 6 goals, which included a hat trick from right wing Chaz Johnson, but still fell 7-6 in overtime to the Greenville Road Warriors at the BI-LO Center on Sunday afternoon at Greenville, S.C.

With just 37 seconds left in overtime, defenseman Jyri Niemi blasted a slap shot home to lift Greenville.

Johnson hammered a shot into the back of the net from the top of slot as the Express scored 3 goals in 2:27 to gain a 4-3 lead after two periods.

After falling behind 5-4, the Express regained the lead on Johnson’s other 2 goals of the night.
