Palatine Board of Health, Medical Reserve Corps to hold blood drive Feb. 15
The Palatine Board of Health and the Palatine Medical Reserve Corps have teamed to host a blood drive from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, at village hall, Meeting Room C, 200 E. Wood St., Palatine.
The blood drive will be conducted by LifeSource. Diane Gartner, field director of the Palatine Environmental Health Division, said the need for blood is constant and ongoing. She said 60 percent of the population is medically eligible to give blood, yet only 5 percent actually donate.
