District 56 kindergarten orientation:

Gurnee Elementary District 56’s Spaulding School has announced plans for a 2012-13 academic year kindergarten orientation. It is set for 7 p.m. Thursday, March 15 at Spaulding School, 2000 Belle Plaine Road, Gurnee. The session will be for parents only. Children must be 5 years old by Sept. 1 to be eligible for kindergarten. Parents should verify now if they are District 56 residents and let officials know about kindergarten-eligible children by calling Spaulding School’s office at (847) 662-3701. The purpose of the evening will be to share all of the information parents will need for their children to enter kindergarten. The orientation also will be presented in Spanish.
