Skinny: Whether correct or not, it seems like the countdown on coach Bruce Weber’s tenure at Illinois has begun in earnest following the fallout from the Illini’s home loss to Purdue on Wednesday. It was Illinois’ fourth consecutive loss and its seventh in its last eight conference games. The question now is can Weber and his squad put all the hoopla behind them and just go out and get a win? On the road? They’ll attempt it in quite an unfamiliar environment. The Illini are making their first visit to Lincoln in 37 years, since a 60-58 win on Nov. 28, 1975.
