Irish deserve more respect

It was very sad to see that the TV coverage of the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Chicago was shown at 11 p.m., after reducing the playing time to 1 hour. In years past it was the full two hours. The parade was also televised live in years past.

Why couldn’t the public TV stations broadcast the parade, rather than running their “money classes,” or instead of asking for government money. I am sure the Irish would be financially grateful.

Is the media uncomfortable with the Irish people’s large and strong families with two parents? Why wasn’t the new mayor at the parade? Does he feel the Irish are yesterday’s news?

I was happy to see that many suburbs had their own parades and support Irish pro-life family values.
