Palatine’s Immanuel Lutheran Church to hymn festival Feb. 26
Immanuel Lutheran Church will host A Heritage of Hymns Festival at 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, at the church, 200 N. Plum Grove Road, Palatine.
Concertgoers are invited to join in with several choirs, a brass ensemble and the handbell choir. The free event is part of the church’s Music to Move Our Next Generation concert series, which benefits the repair, restoration and renewal of Immanuel’s 1,800-pipe Wicks organ.
A youth-sponsored pasta dinner will follow from 5 to 6:30 p.m., with proceeds supporting the youth summer mission trip to an Indian reservation in Ontario, Canada. For more information, call (847) 359-1549.
