HandsOn Suburban Chicago taking nominations for Impact Awards

HandsOn Suburban Chicago, formerly known as the Volunteer Center of Northwest Suburban Chicago, is currently seeking community members and local organizations to nominate outstanding volunteers for the 2012 Impact Awards.

Presented annually during National Volunteer Week, April 15-21, the Impact Awards recognize volunteers throughout Northern Cook and DuPage counties who inspire service and make a positive impact on the lives of others.

There are six awards being given this year. HOSC will be accepting nominations for the Emerging Leader Award, the Community Champion Award, the Lead with Experience Award and the Environmental Impact Award. The Business 2 Community Award and the Volunteer Program of the Year Award will be chosen through a separate process. Depending on the category, criteria include volunteers’ impact on their community, innovation and leadership. The winners will be honored at our annual Impact Awards Reception to be held during National Volunteer Week.
