4,000 to hustle up Hancock Center for charity
More than 4,000 people will hustle up Chicago's John Hancock Center this weekend for charity.
Participants can climb either 94 or 52 floors on Sunday morning.
The annual stair climb fundraiser benefits the Respiratory Health Association of Metropolitan Chicago. This is the 15th year the event is taking place.
The association says the average time to finish all 94 floors, or more than 1,600 steps, is 26 minutes. The fastest climber will finish in less than 10 minutes.
Participants have already raised most of the $1.1 million goal for this year. They include lung disease survivors and their families, athletes and firefighters commemorating the 9/11 terror attacks.
The “Hustle Up the Hancock” stair climb has raised more than $9 million for the association's lung disease research and programs.
