Body found in Ohio River may be missing Ky. man
VEVAY, Ind. — Authorities say a body found in southern Indiana near the Ohio River is believed to be that of a Kentucky man missing since a December 2010 boating mishap.
A man looking for deer antlers in the river bottom area found the body Sunday evening about a half-mile east of Vevay.
The body is believed to be that of 20-year-old Justin Hearn of Worthville, Ky., who was hunting waterfowl with two friends on Dec. 13, 2010, when their boat was involved in a mishap. The body was found about seven miles downstream of that accident site.
Indiana Conservation Officer Chris Powell says the body’s clothing matches that which Hearn was wearing when he vanished.
The body was scheduled to be moved Monday to Hamilton, Ohio, for an autopsy and positive identification.
