Barrington church celebrates King’s birthday
Community Church of Barrington will host its third annual Martin Luther King Jr. celebration, “Stations of the Dream,” at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, at the church’s chapel, 180 N. Hawthorne in Barrington. Visitors will have the opportunity to to experience some of the events that led up to the Civil Rights Act of 1964. There will be news clips as well as a celebration through dance, and the voices of today’s children raised in song and words that speak with the weight and wisdom of history.
