‘Show Boat’ talk, tea at Barrington Garlands

The Barrington Chapter Lyric Opera of Chicago will host a lecture on the popular production of “Show Boat” (music by Jerome Kern and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II) at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 8 at The Garlands in Barrington.

The event will feature Jeffrey Sherman, a volunteer lecturer with the Lyric Opera Chicago Education Corps.
