South Shore railway to offer free Wi-Fi connection
CHESTERTON, Ind. — South Shore railway passengers in northwest Indiana should be able to stay connected during their commutes starting later this year.
Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District spokesman John Parsons tells The Times of Munster that the agency has contracted with Blueweb Mobile Media PLC to supply the Wi-Fi hardware.
Parsons says the service will be free and passengers won’t need a user name or password to connect.
Parsons says Blueweb Mobile Media is paying for the Wi-Fi hardware. He says the transportation district will get a portion of revenues above a certain threshold when Blueweb Mobile Media sells enough adverting.
