S. Ind. jail inmate found dead in his cell
WASHINGTON, Ind. — Indiana State Police are investigating the death of a southern Indiana jail inmate found dead Thursday in his cell.
State police say 63-year-old Delmar Priddy of Montgomery received his breakfast in his cell at the Daviess County Jail in the city of Washington about 6 a.m. Thursday. Priddy, who was the cell’s sole occupant was found dead two hours later by guards.
The Evansville Courier & Press reports that authorities said they currently do no suspect foul play in Priddy’s death.
Police said Priddy had been in the jail since Saturday night and was awaiting trial on charges of driving while intoxicated.
