NIU police chief’s daughter faces drug charges

SYCAMORE — Authorities say the daughter of Northern Illinois University’s police chief has been charged with drug possession. The (DeKalb) Daily Chronicle reports that Jessica Grady and a 38-year-old DeKalb man were arrested last week.

She was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. Her bond was set at $50,000.

NIU officials confirmed that Grady is the daughter of police chief Donald Grady. They did not have further comment.

A message left for the police chief wasn’t immediately returned Sunday. A home number listed for Jessica Grady had been disconnected.

Reginald Turner was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.
