Elliott hired as Irish safeties coach
SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Bob Elliott, who served the last two seasons as secondary coach at Iowa State, has joined Notre Dame’s staff to be in charge of safeties.
Elliott has spent 29 of his 33 seasons coaching defense. Elliott, 58, was the defensive coordinator for a combined 11 seasons at San Diego State, Kansas State, Iowa and Ball State. He had three separate stints at Iowa State.
