St. Charles E. falls short at Shootout

St. Charles East fell 63-50 to Oswego on Saturday at the When Sides Collide Shootout at Glenbard East.

“We started off down 12-4, a couple of turnovers early on,” Saints coach Patrick Woods said. “We had 8 turnovers in the first quarter. You can’t have 8 turnovers.”

The Saints (8-8), who finished with 16 turnovers, went to halftime trailing by 12 and couldn’t get any closer than 5 points in the second half in Lombard.

“I thought we were better than our last game, which is good, but I still just think we’re not playing back where we were in November,” Woods said. “Hopefully, that starts on Tuesday against Batavia.”
