Village releases board minutes from Jan. 19 meeting
On Jan. 22, Lombard Village President William J. Mueller and Village Clerk Brigitte O'Brien released the minutes of the Lombard Village Board of Trustees actions at the Jan. 19 board meeting.
• Proclamation was read by the Village Clerk honoring Sacred Heart Parish in celebration of their 100-year anniversary.
• Approved the Minutes of the Regular Board Meeting of December 27, 2011 and the Special Board Meeting of January 5, 2012.
• Approved Accounts Payable and Village Payroll.
Ordinances Approved With the Waiver of First Reading as Requested
None.
Other Ordinances on First Reading
• Zoning Board of Appeals recommendation for denial of a variation request for 661 N. Charlotte to reduce the required rear yard setback to 15' where 30' is required for the construction of a screened porch addition.
• Authorized a boundary agreement with the Village of Glen Ellyn.
• Amended Village Code increasing the Class “A/B-II” liquor license granting a liquor license to Trademark Tavern and Tap, 777 E. Butterfield Rd. Planned opening is scheduled for early March.
• Reviewed and updated the Village Taxicab Ordinance.
• Amended the Village Code as it relates to water and sewer rates for 2012 Fiscal Year Budget. The budget includes an increase in water and sewer O&M rates of $1.20 as a result of the increase by the City of Chicago to the DuPage Water Commission for the average residential customer that uses 8,000 gallons on a bi-monthly basis, this increase will cost them $9.95 additional on a bi-monthly basis.

Ordinances Approved on Second Reading
• Plan Commission 05-41; 1301 N. Lombard Rd., granting an extension to Ordinance 5794 relative to the O'Hare/DuPage Business Park Planned Development.
Resolutions Approved
• Providing the Lombard Town Center with funding in the amount of $38,500 for the 2012 calendar year.
• Authoring the Northern Illinois Municipal Electric Cooperative to serve as the broker for the Village with regard to obtaining bids from electricity providers for our water pumping stations for a 3 year period.
Other Matters
Approved the following:
• Request for a waiver of bids and award of a contract to West Side Tractor in the amount of $131,105 for a new John Deere front in loader and to declare a 2000 John Deere front in loader as surplus authorizing its trade-in.
• Request for a waiver of bids and award of a contract to Prairie International in the amount of $127,732 for a new single axle dump truck with plow and salt spreader and to declare a 2002 unit as surplus authorizing its trade in.
• Request for a waiver of bids and award a contract to Curie Motors in the amount $49,700 for the purchase of one Ford Police Interceptor Sedan and one Ford Police Interceptor Utility Vehicle. Both vehicles are available for purchase through the Suburban Purchasing Cooperative,
• Approval of $685.80 in purchases from Giagnorio's Pizza.
• Recommendation to continue the current practice of depreciation, funding, review and replacement of the Village's fleet of vehicles.
Village Board meetings are held on the first and third Thursday of the month at 7:30 p.m. in the Village Hall Board Room at 255 E. Wilson Ave.
