Snow could give way to sunshine

Friday’s onslaught of snow is likely to be followed by flurries in coming days, but there is a chance the sun will break out.

According to AccuWeather’s forecast late Friday night, the snowstorm will be over by this morning and clouds will give way to some sun. A high temperature of 25 degrees is forecast for the day.

The National Weather Service said a winter weather advisory would remain in effect until 6 a.m. Total snow accumulations are expected to range from 2 to 5 inches, with some areas seeing between 6 and 7 inches, the weather service said.

On Sunday, it’s expected to be breezy with some sunshine, and temperatures are forecast to reach 40 degrees but drop to 31 after midnight.

Some flurries will return on Monday, when temperatures will climb to 34 degrees during the day. Sunshine and clouds — but no snow — will accompany Tuesday’s 33-degree high.

Some snow flurries are possible on Wednesday, and there’s a chance of both snow and rain Thursday, when a 41-degree high is expected.
