2 dead in apparent murder-suicide in rural NE Ind.
HUNTERTOWN, Ind. — The Allen County coroner has identified a woman shot to death near Fort Wayne and have ruled her death Allen County’s first homicide of 2012.
The coroner said Monday the victim is 34-year-old Melinda Jones.
Sheriff’s deputies says she was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds in a Huntertown home late Sunday after an apparent domestic dispute and that a man that was being sought for the shooting later was found dead.
Indiana state troopers soon found the man dead inside his car on a rural road a few miles away in southern DeKalb County.
Allen County sheriff’s Cpl. Jeremy Tinkel says the man apparently shot himself to death. His name has not yet been released.
