Fire scouting report

Chicago Fire at Seattle Sounders FC

When: 9 p.m. at CenturyLink Field

What: U.S. Open Cup championship match

TV: Fox Soccer Channel

Scouting the Fire: This game means a lot to the Fire, which saw its late-season MLS playoff push take a hit with Saturday’s draw at Houston. It has been a busy week on the road; this is the Fire’s third game in the West in seven days. The Fire hopes to get Sebastian Grazzini back from injury.

Scouting the Sounders: The Sounders are going for a third consecutive Open Cup championship, and they hope to get Mauro Rosales back from injury for this one. Like the Fire, Seattle has spent a lot of time on the road lately, with trips to Guatemala and New England in the past week.

Next: FC Dallas, 7:30 p.m. Oct. 4 at Toyota Park
