’86 Super Bowl showing at Des Plaines Theatre

The Des Plaines Deep Green Committee, chaired by 6th Ward Alderman Mark Walsten, will host a fundraiser at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, featuring a special showing of Super Bowl XX, the 1985-86 championship game between the Chicago Bears and the New England Patriots, at the Des Plaines Theatre, 1476 Miner St. Admission is a $10 tax-deductible donation. Beer will be available for purchase. Tickets are available at the door or at desplainestheatre.com. There will be $1,000 in prizes, including an HDTV. The event is being sponsored by Lee Street Sports Bar & Games, 1122 Lee St., Des Plaines.
