Shoes for Haiti:
Can you imagine sending your child to school barefoot? There are children in the world who go to school that way every day. The Lindenhurst Early Childhood Center, 309 Granada Blvd., hosts a new/used shoe drive for children in Haiti during February. Shoes will go to children who attend 20 schools in Pignon, Haiti. The collection runs Feb. 1 through Feb. 29. Bring shoes of all kinds to the school’s hallway drop box Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. For info call (847) 356-2288
