Why should haves care for have-nots?

I was delighted to read Gerry McGovern's April 10 letter. We would be well served to study his reasoning. He states a fact: We have no moral right to deprive poor children and adults of health care.

I am my brother's keeper, according to the Bible; our political Right Wingers believe themselves to hold higher moral and religious beliefs than those farther down the social ladder. Since the tea party devotees are apt to be blessed with adequate insurance, why should they support a national health bill?

Why should Congress representatives support such a bill since they already have wonderfully designed health insurance? Go figure.
