Volunteer open house, job fair:

Lake County Forest Preserve District staff will host a volunteer open house and job fair from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4 at its general offices, 1899 West Winchester Road in Libertyville. The free event is open to adults and youth aged 15 and up. No registration is required. Participants can review volunteer descriptions and meet with staff to find a fit. Volunteers are needed for a variety of jobs, indoors and outdoors, at forest preserves and special facilities throughout Lake County. No experience is needed, just a willingness to help.
