Poll: Consumers in northern Illinois going mobile
More than a third of northern Illinois consumers responding to a Better Business Bureau poll reported using mobile devices to compare prices when shopping.
In the month-long survey conducted online in April, 35 percent of respondents said they changed their minds about where to buy a product or service based on information they found using mobile devices.
Better Business Bureau President Steve Bernas says customers now have product and price information at their fingertips. He says that means they aren’t only more educated but are also putting pressure on retailers.
Bernas says stores are responding by improving their websites to make specific information more easily available to consumers on the move.
