Five arrested in Lombard prostitution sting
Five people were charged in a prostitution sting at a Lombard hotel after undercover officers arranged a meeting, authorities said Thursday.
The arrests were made Wednesday at Embassy Suites Hotel, 707 E. Butterfield Road.
Erin D. Jones, 20, of the 800 block of Taylor Street, Chicago, was charged with one count of felony prostitution and transported to DuPage County jail.
According to police, three people were charged with one count each of misdemeanor prostitution: Lauren M. Greenland, 21, of the 1000 block of 37th Street, Des Moines, Iowa; Amber Gravert, 19, of the 6200 block of Mozart Street, Chicago; and Karla M. Westbrook, 38, of the 700 block of W. Erwin Avenue, Allen, Texas.
Gravert also was charged with one count of felony unlawful possession of a controlled substance, police said, while Westbrook also faces one count of misdemeanor unlawful use of a weapon for possessing a stun gun. Westbrook and Greenland were released on bond. Gravert was transported to DuPage County jail.
The fifth person charged was Anthony J. Jones, 51, of the 3700 block of Chicago Street, Chicago. He faces one count of misdemeanor attempted pandering and was released on bond, according to police.
