Put your money where your duck is for Founders’ Day
Feeling ducky? Then purchase tickets for the Algonquin Founders’ Day duck race for your chance to win up to $200.
The Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Jaycees will sell tickets for the annual race during the Algonquin Founders’ Day weekend July 28-31, at Towne Park, 100 Jefferson St. Algonquin. Tickets are $3 each or you can purchase a ducky family of four for $10. The duck race will be held at noon Sunday, July 31; the winner need not be present.
Tickets are also available in person at the Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Chamber office, 2114 W. Algonquin Road in Lake in the Hills. In addition, tickets can be purchased by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope with a payment to: Algonquin/LITH Jaycees, P.O. Box 7635, Algonquin IL 60102.
Money raised from the duck race will help benefit the Algonquin/Lake in the Hills community.
The Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Jaycees give young adults, age 18 to 41, the tools they need to build the bridges of success for themselves in the areas of business development, management skills, individual training, community service and international relations. The organization meets the third Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at Kostas Gyros, 4053 W. Algonquin Road, Algonquin.
