Attend first 'State of the Park District' Feb. 12

The public is cordially invited to attend the first annual "State of the Park District" address, to be held in Community Hall at the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center on Saturday, Feb. 12.

A light breakfast and networking will begin at 8 a.m. The formal presentation, which will be given by Park Board President Mike Reilly, will start at 8:30 a.m.

“The Naperville Park District is an integral member of the community and a taxing body, so it's important for us to connect with the community members through a formal presentation,” explained Mike Reilly. “The State of the Park District will give attendees an overview of what the District accomplished during 2010 and give a snapshot regarding our future direction.”

To help plan for refreshments, the park district asks those who wish to attend to RSVP via e-mail to rsvp@napervilleparks.org by Thursday, Feb. 10.

The Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center is located at 305 W. Jackson Ave. between Mill and Eagle streets. Community Hall is on the second floor, with parking on the north side of the building.
