Mariano’s to open Palatine store Jan. 31

Mariano’s Fresh Market will open the doors of its new Palatine location at 6 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, at the northeast corner of Hicks Road and Northwest Highway.

The upscale grocery store chain has hired about 450 people, including 16 salaried managers, for the store. Officials say the entryway on the north end of the shopping center, which also includes the new Palatine police headquarters and a future bank, will be widened to accommodate the high volume of traffic that’s expected.

Mariano’s has four other stores in the Chicago area, located in Arlington Heights, Vernon Hills and Chicago.
