2 NE Ind. jail inmates charged in guard’s assault
FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Two inmates at a northeastern Indiana jail are facing battery charges in an October attack that left a guard with a concussion and bruises.
Nineteen-year-old Fort Wayne residents Odis L. Moore and Joshua L. Rhodes were charged this week with battery, but Rhodes also faces a strangulation charge in the attack.
Court records allege Rhodes hit a guard in the face Oct. 30 at the Allen County Jail, making him fall backward before continuing to punch him. Moore then allegedly began punching and kicking the guard while Rhodes put him in a chokehold and the guard began (http://bit.ly/zzn6Di ) the two men then allegedly locked the guard in an area away from inmates and continued beating him under he radioed for help.
