Ex-NFL players knew the job was dangerous
RE: NFL Concussions
It is unbelievable to me that professional football players are now suing the NFL for their injuries. There is a concept in law called “Assumption of Risk.” It is unreal to me that these former athletes did not understand that there would be contact in their professional athletic performance. For them to now claim that they have injuries as a result of known contact in a physical sport is ridiculous. Lawyers, on behalf of the NFL, stand up and state that you, the athlete, assumed the risk and if you did not want to play in a contact sport, you did not have to do so. You made millions of dollars and now to sue the NFL because you have residual injuries is ridiculous.
